Part 3 of The Entertainer’s Edit

Rise & fall cocktail cabinets, often called waterfall or cantilever cabinets, were designed during the Art Deco era, when cocktail hour was an event in itself.
The lifting is part of their charm, creating a mirrored drinks prep area and space for you to show off your favourite drinks and glassware.

But what really draws people in is the burr walnut veneer. Add a hint of gold or geometric detailing and the whole piece is transformed without hiding the grain that made you fall in love with it.

If you love entertaining with a little flair, this style might be exactly what you’re looking for.

Explore the collection via the link in bio.

I styled a drinks cabinet for a client reveal ✨

This is just one small part of what I do, but it’s the part where it all comes to life.

The glasses go in, followed by the gin and the whisky, the accessories and lastly the cocktail pins🍸

My job is one that really makes people smile and I love that! 🥰

If you’d love one of your own, I’m here 😊

They say opposites attract.

So for us that means whisky on the left and gin on the right, with a bit of a mix in the middle.

A beautifully designed drinks cabinet isn’t just about choosing one design or one taste. It’s can also be about creating enough storage to hold both drinks collections and your favourite glassware.

If you and your other half love very different drinks, this is your sign to go bigger.

Tag the other person in your life who has a bigger drinks collection than yours!

Cheers 🥂

Lindsay and Andy’s beautiful Arts and Crafts home

Lindsay and Andy’s beautiful Arts and Crafts home is filled with character and craftsmanship, so it was clear from the start that this commission needed to celebrate wood in all its glory.

They wanted a large Art Deco cocktail cabinet with a truly exceptional grain and this stunning burr walnut delivered in the most spectacular way🍸

To connect the piece to their space, I added a geometric design in teal and gold, echoing the room’s accent colours, and finished the inside with a fan palm wallpaper for a little moment of surprise when the cabinet opens.

Now it sits perfectly at home, ready for evenings of entertaining and quiet celebrations alike 🥂

Thank you Lindsay and Andy for trusting me with such a special piece 💛

Yes, I may have been told “no more huge cabinets”

Yes, I may have been told “no more huge cabinets” at least three times this year.

And I do rely on my very reluctant husband for muscle power every now and then 😂

But there’s something about a large vintage drinks cabinet. They take up space, they require a little muscle and they demand attention.

So when a piece has this much potential… I simply can’t walk away.

This huge cabinet has been commissioned and is coming up next( Sorry, not sorry), so come be the man I need! 💪 😂

Are you Team Husband or Team Huge Cabinet?

Save this for when you’re ready to go bold!

Maybe it’s just me, but the pieces people love most are the ones they’ve helped create.

When we meet, talk through your space, discuss colours, handles, finishes and lighting, something changes.

It’s no longer just a drinks cabinet I’m transforming in my workshop. It’s your cabinet. Your vision. Your story unfolding.

That’s the difference with bespoke.
It isn’t just about measurements or paint. It’s about conversation. Collaboration. Considered decisions.

And when you’ve been part of the journey, you feel connected to it.

That’s what makes it special.

A love letter to Art Deco ✨

This drinks cabinet transformation began with a romantic visit to a five-star Art Deco hotel in the Lake District. My clients stayed there, saw a cabinet I’d created for the hotel, and fell in love with it.

That moment became their love letter to Art Deco❤️

They asked me to transform a vintage drinks cabinet in the same style that honoured the era, the craftsmanship and the excitement that stopped them in their tracks.

This reel is part of The Transformation Fix – my ongoing series sharing how vintage furniture is transformed from naked pieces into design-led furniture for modern homes.

Because some designs deserve devotion.
And great transformations take time.
