Terms and Conditions for Furniture Sourcing and Commission

These terms and conditions outline the terms under which Liz Clarkson Interior Transformations will source and provide furniture commission services to you. By engaging these services, you agree to adhere to and be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1. Consultation and Quotation:

1.1. Whenever possible, I will arrange an in-home consultation to discuss your requirements and provide an accurate furniture commission quote. If an in-home visit is not feasible, consultations may occur through video call and/or customer-supplied photographs.

2. Booking and Payment:

 2.1. A non-refundable booking fee equal to 100% of the total project cost is required to start the design, source the furniture to your specification and secure your booking.

2.2. Payment of the booking fee is considered a signed agreement to these terms and conditions.

3. Contract and Refund Policy:

3.1. All commission and bespoke work requires a signed contract.

3.2. Payment of the booking fee acts as acceptance of the contract and these terms.

3.3. All sales are final, and commission work is non-refundable. I will work closely with you to ensure the finished piece meets your brief.

4. Design and Commission Process:

4.1. I will collaborate closely with you, providing concept boards, samples (where applicable), and regular updates to ensure the final piece meets your specifications.

5. Refinishing Process

5.1. Unique characteristics of hand-painted artisan finishes on vintage furniture, such as brush strokes and variations in texture or colour, are inherent in the process.

6. Additional Work and Costs:

6.1. If changes are made to the design or additional work is identified during the project, I will provide written communication detailing potential additional costs and options before proceeding.

6.2. Final charges may be adjusted in accordance with this Agreement.

7 Completion Time:

7.1. The length of time for a bespoke commission will depend on a number of factors including stock availability, my own availability and the scale of the project. Timescales will be agreed during the consultation and reconfirmed when the booking is made. Any changes to the timescales, due to other commitments taking longer than expected will be advised via email as soon as they are known.

7.2 Humidity and extreme temperatures can affect completion times. In case of any anticipated delays beyond the agreed completion date, I will notify you via email.

8. Delivery and Inspection:

8.1. Upon delivery, you have 24 hours to notify me of any issues with the furniture.

8.2. I will collaborate with you to address and resolve any concerns promptly.

9. Collection and Storage:

9.1. Furniture must be collected or booked in for delivery within 7 days of completion.

9.2. A storage fee of £10 per item per week will apply after 7 days.

9.3. Failure to collect the furniture within 30 days of completion may result forfeit of the fee and I reserve in the right to retain and dispose of the furniture.

10. Governing Law:

10.1. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the Company is registered.

11. Amendments and Modifications:

11.1. I reserve the right to amend or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you in writing.

By proceeding with our furniture commission services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions as outlined above.
