🥂Christmas is the perfect time for showing off the beautiful home that you’ve spent all year creating. But what if you can’t get your guests out of the kitchen to see it.

My new December morning ritual☕️🍫

Handmade chocolate advent calendar making with the family at the weekend to celebrate what would have been my mum’s 80th birthday.

It was so much fun learning a new creative skill .. especially when it’s edible! 😋

Then on to a lovely meal overlooking the canal in brilliant sunshine and a chance to catch up .. The view was incredible 🌞

Never too old for an advent calendar.. bought my 22 year old one yesterday! 😉

☎️ Telephone benches are making a come back, with shops such as Heals, Wayfair and Homary now stocking them.

💡Here are my top tips for upcycling the iconic telephone table for modern day use

🖤 Use as entrance hall storage for shoes, bags, hats and gloves, with hanging hooks above for coats. The most stylish and comfortable place to put your shoes on

🤍 Create that hygge feeling in the living room… the ideal place for displaying plants, photos, blankets and magazines now that the cosy season is upon us

🖤 Place it in a bay window and create a fabulous place for relaxing with a morning coffee while you watch the world go by .. no other item of furniture has built in seat and handy table

🤍 Dress it up as a drinks cabinet and enjoy a stylish cocktail in the comfort of your own home

🖤Place it at the side of the sofa as extra space for a lamp, candle, books, remotes, tech and hiding your favourite chocolate

🤍 Place it at the end of a bed as additional storage for cushions, blankets, towels and clothes

🖤 Use it as bespoke storage for displaying books and magazines, whilst hiding away toys and crafts

Is there any piece of furniture quite as nostalgic as the telephone table?! ☎️

Remember all those hours perched in a draughty hallway as a teenager with your sisters vying for their turn and your dad shouting at you to hurry up!

We went to see Sinatra The Musical at the weekend and lo and behold there is was centre stage, the humble telephone table. Rather more sexy than I remembered it.

So it was really nostalgic for me to have the pleasure of transforming this telephone table for some lovely returning customers based in London.

They had already entrusted me with a drinks cabinet and display cabinet and were now looking for stylish shoe storage for their hallway.

We chose this beautiful Art Deco Fan design fabric for the seat, enhanced for extra comfort, paired with these fabulous Art Deco Fan handles I’ve been itching to use 🖤🤍

Hands up if you had a telephone table as a child 🙋🏻‍♀️
