Why choose an Edwardian cocktail cabinet with ball & claw feet with art deco detailing
Before the outbreak of the first world war, the Edwardian era was a time of parties, balls, and social calendars. Basically, having a jolly good time. And what better way to have a good time than to throw a pre-theatre cocktail party at home, with this gorgeous piece at the centre of the action?
Cocktails were becoming ever popular in the early 1900s, with Gin at the centre of many. A very fashionable tipple of the day was the “Aviator”, made with various vermouths, Dubbonet and, of course, Gin (a favourite of our late Queen Elizabeth II). For that reason and beautiful amber colour of the drink, we’ve nicknamed this cabinet “Aviator”.
This cabinet retains the original cocktail pins and lemon juice squeezer which are all in working order. The base of the cabinet has two doors which open from the centre, giving enough storage for around 70 bottles – perfect for even the grandest events in your home. The rise and fall top, with mirrored work surface, will make mixing, shaking, and stirring those cocktails an absolute breeze.
