My vision is to help lovers of interior design create a beautiful home with the highest quality unique statement refinished furniture, combined with great communication and seamless customer service.

Sustainability

With the rise in conscious consumerism, the reuse of vintage furniture pieces and the reduction of environmental impact is ever more important in my business. Wherever possible I use environmentally friendly products in my  furniture restyling and packaging processes and try to ensure I make good decisions about my sourcing and delivery to limit my business footprint.

I'm committed to reducing any CO2 emissions created by my business by planting trees for every order taken.

More Trees offer the opportunity to plant the most needed trees, anywhere in the world and I'm so happy to have helped the planting effort.

I've been a National Trust member for over 25 years and have decided that helping to replenish UK woodlands is a fitting tribute to the British master craftsmen who made the furniture I transform.

I am therefore now helping the National Trust to tackle climate change by supporting their goal of planting 20 million tress by 2030.

I will plant a tree in the heart of National Trust woodlands, on your behalf for every order taken. This will help to offset any CO2 emissions generated by my small business.

Customer-centric

Customers are at the heart of my business. I love seeing the excitement in customers as our joint vision for an item of furniture starts to evolve and I believe that working with me should be an enjoyable experience from start to finish.

I want to offer customers a seamless shopping experience, from browsing my restyled furniture collections, initial enquiry, design and refinishing through to delivery, making them feel truly valued every step of the way.

I believe that good customer communication is paramount and that delivery should be smooth and easy.

Quality

I aim to work with good quality furniture pieces. Real wood or modern furniture with high quality veneer from renowned furniture makers that would have been considered exceptional in their day. This ensures the potential for the furniture to increase in value once restored or restyled. There are no flat packs here!

I also ensure that the materials that go into the refinishing of an item of furniture are of the highest quality. My designs go hand in hand with the craftsmanship of the original piece and are made to last.

History

Through the study of period design as part of my Interior Design course I truly appreciate the history of a piece of furniture and love the features that make up the Modern Design era from the early to mid twentieth century.

I will always try to honour the history of furniture, making my design a collaboration with the traditional skills and craftsmanship of furniture makers from the past. 

My decision whether to restore or refinish an item of furniture depends on the design era, the condition of the furniture, the vision that my customer and I have  and the value my work will add.

Creativity & Uniqueness

The ability to be creative is so important in today's world and has certainly been my therapy over the past couple of years. Creativity is at the centre of what I do and starts when I have my first video call with a customer to share ideas and look at plans for their room.

Working with customers on mood boards and creating looks in Photoshop allows ideas to flow until we agree on the final design.

It's this creative process that produces a unique centrepiece that customers are proud to have in their homes.

Joy & Excitement

The most fulfilling part of my job is the excitement that grows as a design starts to take shape and the joy I see on my customer's faces at receiving the refinished item.

 

My aim is to continue to love what I do and find creativity and excitement in all aspects of my business.
